Exposure and dialogue with other professional designers is invaluable. Our visiting artist series brings some, and others are invited to conduct workshops.
PELLEGRINO WORKSHOP
Andrea Pellegrino conducted a workshop on social change and community development
this April with design students from every level, designers in the community, and
community leaders. They broke into five groups to tackle projects in three communities. Other
visiting designers include Ellen Lupton, Nancy Skolos, Malcolm Grear, Bill Longhauser,
Rick Landesberg, Andrew Shea, Cannonball Press, The Beehive Collective, Tom Ockerse,
Tim Samara, Chaz Maviyane-Davies, Yossi Lemel.

Process
The importance of visiting designers lies partly in their willingness to share their own process. A goal of the program is to help students try lots of tools and processes to find what works best for them and for different kinds of problems.
